| | The War On Christianity (and Christmas)!
In case you didn't know, there is a war on Christianity going on in America. While between 80 and 90% of Americans consider themselves Christians, apparently there is a widespread belief that Christians and Christianity are being persecuted! This despite total control of the Presidency, Congress, and state legislatures. As of 2005, self-righteous, conservative windbags such as Bill O'Reilly were able to convince 42% of Americans that there is an actual war on Christmas being fought!
Apparently many people think that—in addition to churches and private homes and private organizations—the Christian majority must be allowed to decorate government institutions (such as public schools and libraries) so that all Americans can be included in the celebration of the supposed Divinity of Jesus Christ. If they are not allowed to put their religious symbols in public spaces shared by those who do not share their religious beliefs, then they are being persecuted!!
This reaches the very heights of absurdity. If you think we're exaggerating, check out this video, "Part I of The War on Christianity," where you will see Chris Matthews begin as a skeptical inquirer and suddenly conclude that, of course, "I do believe there is a campaign against religion in this country . . . That's true. It's just true."
It's just true? Religious fanatics have won the PR battle! Advocating separation of church and state—an endangered principal that was created to establish religious freedom and to protect religion—has become "a campaign against religion." Let's take a look at this War on Christianity (and Christmas).

News Update, Fall 2009: Atheists Launch an All-Out, Nihilistic Assault on Catholicism!
The majority of the most rabid warriors defending Christianity from the vicious onslaught of homosecular atheists also believe that the Catholic Church is mammonism. And Catholics view fundamentalism as anathema:
"To convert to mainline Protestantism . . . does not occur to [Catholics] even in nightmares . . . A change to Eastern Orthodoxy or Anglo-Catholicism is more an adjustment than a real switch . . . But fundamentalism? To embrace it is to reject Catholicism outright, because fundamentalism does not just modify, but discards, the sacramental and liturgical core of Catholicism. One might as well subscribe to an obscure Eastern cult." (Karl Keating)
But in Part III of The War on Christianity, we find fundamentalists and Catholics joining together to defend Christianity from the demonic, degenerate atheists who are relentlessly laboring to achieve their ultimate goal: The total destruction of religion in America!

Jon Stewart Officially Declares War on Xmas!
The next piece highlights the absurd hysteria the religious right is able to generate. While one could argue that making Xmas a national holiday does indeed violate the separation of Church and State, no one with a modicum of intelligence seriously believes that there is any danger the holiday will be banned. It remains as big an obsession today—perhaps the only change is that it is even bigger—as it was thirty years ago, before anyone ever thought of creating this PR red herring of a "War on Christmas." Yet, the raving, rabid, radically righteous, religious right—as exemplified by the quintessential a-hole, Bill O'Reilly—actually can work themselves into a sanctimonious snit about any attempt to stop them from making Christianity the official religion of the United States of America.
Of course, fighting to protect our religious freedom by trying to maintain the separation of church and state is the work of the devil who is trying to impose godless, immoral "homosecular humanism" on the persecuted religious majority!? It's just a wild and crazy concern—with no basis in reality—to be worried about the religious right and their agenda to impose their brand of Christianity on America. They only actually say they want to do away with the Separation of Church and State. They only actually claim that that's the way it should be. And the Religious Right is only fully engaged in the process of replacing the religious freedoms underlying the glorious American experiment, with their own brand of theocracy!
And, of course, if allowed, they only actually would move nativity scenes and other religious icons from church lawns and other private property (where they should be allowed) to town squares and public schools, libraries, and government buildings (where they clearly would violate the constitution). Yet, any actions designed to halt the erosion of the separation of church and state are tantamount to a war on Christianity!?

Not only has it been conclusively shown that the Bible could not possibly be the inerrant word of any "God," but now FOX News has declared that "a monkey could write the Bible!"

Just look at these other vicious assaults on Christianity!
|

When you look at the photos above, doesn't it just break your heart to see how atheists are undermining the delusion about a magical, invisible, all-powerful Daddy-In-The-Sky? Just think of all the little Christians who saw these signs and stopped believing in Jesus.
Oh yeah. We forgot to mention that the plaque on the top left was put up alongside a Nativity scene in the Legislative Building in Olympia, Washington. Thank God someone had the sense to remove it and throw it into a ditch (Really, that's what happened.) before it damaged too many impressionable, budding, little Christians. Now instead of little Christians being exposed to hateful blasphemy, little atheists will be able to see nativity scenes everywhere they turn. Not to mention all the Christmas messages and decorations in and around the buses of Washington, D.C. Or that the British Atheists' ad campaign was a response to Christian bus ads that directed the traveler to go to a website where one would learn that yo and yos nonbelieving friends were headed straight to hell, to “spend all eternity in torment.”
Hopefully these blaspheming, homosecular atheists will see the light, even if we have to put beacons on public property to shine it in their eyes.
