Instructions

Enlarge the window and the image below these instructions (if you did not get here by clicking a link on our Timothy Leary/LSD page, pressing F11 may help maximize the screen).
If you are using Internet Explorer and the image is not rotating smoothly, try pressing F11; this sometimes helps.
Get the floating "Magic Yo" into the center of the screen.
With your eyes 12 to 20 inches from the screen, fix your focus carefully on the floating Yo at the very center of the whirling pattern. If it stops and starts, maintain your focus until it runs continuously. Once it is running smoothly, stare at it for ten seconds at a time.
Then look steadily at some familiar object (like your computer keyboard) or scene.
